The debate of who is the best between the two has been on and different managers have stated their opinion whenever journalist ask thr question.

Former Borussia Dortmund manager has decided to pitch his tent with Barcelona star, Lionel Messi.

According to to Klopp, he decided to pick Messi ahead of Ronaldo because of the Argentine" physical conditions from birth"

"For me it's Messi, but I couldn't admire Ronaldo any more than I already do," he told YouTube channel Freekickerz.

"This is my explanation.

"We've played against both and both are impossible to defend, but Messi had much lower physical conditions from birth on.

Both Ronaldo and Messi has thrilled LA Liga fans with excitement when Ronaldo was at Real Madrid between 2009 and 2018, when he moved to Juventus.

The two world class players have won 11 out of the last 12 Ballon d'Or awards. It was Luka Modric of Real Madrid that broke the trend when he won the award in 2018.

Klopp continued: "If you could build a perfect player then he'd have Ronaldo's height, he could jump and run like Ronaldo.

"On top of that you've got his attitude and professionalism and he's perfect, couldn't be better.

"On the other side you've got little Messi who makes everything look so simple.

"So, I like him maybe a little bit more as a player on the pitch.

Messi, 32, has been at Barcelona since 2005, while Ronaldo, 35, started from Sporting Lisbon and moved to join Manchester United in 2003. He left for record fee to Real Madrid in 2009.

When he joined Real Madrid, Ronaldo won has 15 trophies, includes two La Liga titles, two Copas del Rey, and four UEFA Champions League titles.

Klopp added: "But, Ronaldo is also an incredible player.

"It's really difficult.

"What they both have in common is that they've left their mark for a long time."
